Three quarters each year

December 7th, 2006 · 2 Comments

When your Mom posts a comment wondering where you are, it’s time to dust off the keyboard. Sorry for my relative absence this month, the university where I study has three 9-week quarters each year (Yes, I know…) and it creates a weird backlog of work each November. On top of which I am doing a 5-day a week Japanese language course. Generally speaking, I’ve been busier than a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest and about as lucky as a one-eyed gopher in a cactus patch.

More news: YJ and I are getting ready to move back to China beginning next month. I’ll be spending the year doing research at the Number One Historical Archives in Beijing. We’ll be in Tianjin from January through Chunjie and then we will be relocating to the capital city beginning in March.

Starting today, we will be back to the usual schedule of 5-6 postings each week, both here and again at TPD.

Apologies for going off the reservation.
