Weird keyword searches

January 2nd, 2007 · No Comments

I get a lot of weird hits on my site that have nothing to do with history. Because I wrote a piece on the Chinabounder debacle called “Sex in Shanghai,” I get a lot of hits looking for things like “sex” and “Chinese woman,” etc. At first I thought it was odd, but now I’m used to it.

Since I recently wrote a piece on the extinction of the Yangzi River dolphin, I’m now starting to get a fair amount of “dolphin” and “porpoise” traffic as well.

But yesterday I checked the old statcounter and found a truly disturbing keyword hit:

“dolphin girl sex”

Words fail.

In case you’re wondering, it was out of Provo, UT. No judgments.
