YJ and I had a wonderful time last night at a dinner hosted by Richard of The Peking Duck. I had the opportunity to meet Richard for the first time as well as hang with Kevin Smith of the Weifang Radish, Joseph Bosco of the Longbow Papers, and super-freak linguist (or as he calls himself, “mercenary Sinologue” 惟利是图的中国通) Brendan O’Kane. We also had the pleasure to make some new friends from outside the China blogosphere. The conversation was lively, the food (Xiao Wang Fu off of Guanghua Lu) was fabulous, and the company was superb. After they threw us out of the restaurant, we wandered down the street to the Kerry Center and rubbed elbows with the well-heeled and expense-accounted at Centro before going our separate ways. Good times.
