New Site: The China Beat

January 14th, 2008 · 5 Comments

I wanted to alert readers to an exciting new site launching tomorrow. The China Beat brings together an impressive list of academics and China watchers to provide regular commentary, context, and criticism on media coverage of China.

In the interest of disclosure, I am one of the writers for the site, but that said, I highly recommend checking it out.

I wanted to follow your referral, but China Beat is invitation-only for reading.

Is it for academics only, or can we of the curious general-public get an invitation?

    Jaskerr,

Sorry about that. I jumped the gun a wee bit. The site will go live tomorrow, January 15 (US time).

I’m here in Beijing where it’s already the 15th. My bad.

    Thanks for stopping by.

Man, and you had me all excited.

    Now the moments gone. :-(

Tomorrow is another day and I need to learn how the international date line works. But that’s another story…

    Jeremiah Jenne -

No problem! I’m glad to hear that it was Int’l Date Line confusion, nothing more.

    Thanks for the tip …
