New post over at The Peking Duck

I’ve written a post over at The Peking Duck on the BBC’s decision to broadcast protests should they occur during the Beijing Olympics.  Feel free to join in the free-wheeling discussion/online shouting match which is sure to ensue.

I haven’t checked in to the Peking Duck yet, and before I go there and read about your and others’ opinions, I thought I’d say this here:

I would be apoplectic with indignation to think that any foreign media presence in Beijing would not cover a protest. It would be an abdication of their journalistic responsibility to act in such a weak, kowtowing manner.

OK, I’m off to the duck pond.
