Jottings from the Granite Studio provides commentary, analysis, and opinion on China and Chinese history. It is written by Jeremiah Jenne, a PhD Candidate at a large public research university in Northern California. Currently, Jeremiah is in Beijing teaching history, doing archival research, and working on his dissertation.

Bunkered down in Beijing

I’m back in Beijing after an extended trip on the Russia/China/Mongolia border.  I probably should have stayed there.  I’ve stocked two-days worth of food, water, and DVDs and am barricading the gate to the courtyard in honor of the 60 years of lunacy and prosperity that has been the PRC.  More to follow…
